Nitto 99, if you want a turbo kit with the hot and cold piping, downpipe, and intercooler with brackets and alt relocate bracket check out Hurron Speed.
People boost ls1's all the time on pump gas and that's 10.5:1. Since his block is forged its more tolerant of detonation and if he does e85 that will cool down combustion. If you are building a motor i would do 10-11:1 on e85 because that will help spool the turbo and will take less boost to make same power as if it were lower comp ratio. If the motor is already put together i wouldn't bother. Only down fall with higher comp is heat and detonation both in which e85 will help aid that.

awesome to know. so now I can look around for different heads, because altough everyone says the stock LQ4 heads are nice, i know theres more than flows better, i just didnt consider them because of the high comp ratio

I have a buddy that has a similar set up, same block different heads and a 12.1 compression. Can he do a turbo with his set up?

OP I'd lean toward a turbo setup over a supercharger just to give you some options in running different fuel at different boost pressures. Since your car sees alot of street duty you could have a c16 or e85 tune and then also a 93 tune and control the boost pressure so that when on 93 you run say 6-8psi safely, but then on the better fuel you flash or swap the pcm and bump the controller up to 12-whatever psi. You can wastegate a centri, but turbo would suit your uses better IMO as it gives you a wider range of options.

Ideally? No. But with e85 i wouldn't be afraid to try. Just keep boost low

Some of the members on here (mostly racecar guys) run something near this. I'm not sure on the exact number but I know Phil99Vette is close.
