How many of you guys have your boost gauge here?

I was just wondering how many of you guys have your Boost gauge in the A/C vents...... I had a 2 1/16 and a FP gauge in my A-pillar but a friend of mine had this new 2 5/8 boost and a 2 1/16 A/F gauge so i bought them. So now i have a 2 1/16 Autometer Ultra-Lite boost gauge for sale. $30 plus half of shipping.
Heres a Pic of the new 2 5/8 in the A/C vent.

3 gauge A-pillar here! IMO I don't like the vent mounted gauges. Although it is stealthy.

BIGBOS 04-20-2004 11:34 AM

I got the 3 pillar, with the 2 - 5/8 Trans temp gauge in the far left A/C vent under the A - pillar........

I want to switch all of them over to the Cobalt series since they look PIMP :)

pillar post, here.

Mighty Mouse do you have a pic of your turbosmart boost controller? When you say left side do you mean on the pillar or in the left vent. I have a camaro :( so I cant do the nice guage in vent.

Slow PM sent...... In the far left A/C vent i am going to put my tranny temp 2 5/8 gauge so ill still have 2 A/C vents so if i ever decide to put A/C back on the car i can stay cool still..... but thats what i have T-Tops for..

yup boost on the left and fp in the middle.

still leaves me one vent in the middle cluster and the 2 side ones.

I just have to kick on the fans a little higher but the car still stays cool in the summer

by the way you can get the guage to sit more flush if you remove the plastic cup.

thats what I did and my gauges sit in there nice and flush

Blackbird-
How did you run your wires/boost ref line through the duct work? Did you drill a hole somewhere? Where? I'm wanting to do this, but I don't want to have to disassemble my entire dash to do it. Any tricks or points you could pass along please?

MightyMouse, where did you get your turbosmart from?

Matt

You dont have to drill anything at all. Take out your CD player or what ever you have and the duct is right there...... there is foam around the edge..... pull the vent out and look..... its easy. Il take soem more pics when i get a chance.

My Fuel pressure is there, manual boost in middle, water next to that (someday will be tranny)

Gotta find a place for my EBC display

Not sure where we are going to mount the progressive controller, the tranny temp or the exhaust temp yet...

LS1Bird 04-25-2004 06:49 AM

I've got mine in the same A/C spot. Couldn't imagine having it anywhere else ....

Mine take up the three center vents.

Boost - Fuel Pressure - Nitrous Pressure

:)

BOOSTAT4500 04-25-2004 08:11 PM

Mines in the middle vent. Gets lots of complements.
