Necking down a down pipe

Ideally for your situation i would run 4 inch as far as you can, do a nice smooth conical reducer to 3.5 and fit that how you need to fit it. This method allows you to maintain as much pressure delta as possible so the wheel stays efficient. As you go back the exhaust will cool causing density to increase and airspeed to drop. The conical reducer will help accelerate the gas and hopefully prevent excessive post turbine pressure.
.
.
I will likely dump the exhaust before the rear axle for now, using 2 straight-through 3" muffs

150 years ago and your sig reminds me of when i made 800 to the tires with 346ci and stock 98 f body camshaft. (same downpipe since then)
been doing it wrong and kicking *** since 2003!
the real right way is to do what makes you happy.
what makes me happy is beating people with t6 turbo's, aluminum intakes, and 4" pipes.

Bringing this back up guys.
Since I'm utilizing the divided housing and 2 w/g's, do you think its OK to "T" the 2 w/g discharge outlets and then into the 3.5" DP, or should I keep them out of the DP as this DP may sorta be on the small side to begin with? I was thinking of just venting the w/g's to the atmosphere with a small bullet muff on each end, but that will add more weight and complexity. Being that the car is driven in a populated area I dont want it unnecessarily loud.
Am I splitting hairs here - just run them into the DP???

Pretty good example right here what it sounds like. It's nicd's car I think that's his name on here but anyway looks to be from 07 lol.
Sounds pretty quiet overall but when he gets into boost it really screams. I personally love a wg dumped to atmosphere.

It just sounds like a naturally aspirated car out of the dump. Dump to atmosphere, you only hear it when the wastegates open and it won't make your already too small downpipe worse. You don't need mufflers on the dumps, either. If you're somewhere and don't want to be loud, don't go wot, it's not a problem.
