Default Crank pining questions

I have a question for all up people running a supercharger . Do u double key your crank and pin it , or can I just double key it ? I am planning a AES 390 with 16 psi with a Novi 2200.

My previous engines I all double pinned, but these had no provision for a key on crank/pulley ( partly because I had drilled out the keyway on the pulley for a pin )

On my current engine I am just using the single keyway as I started with a new crank and a new pulley.
So far it's fine, although dont have huge miles on it ( 85/30 cogs and YSi )

if your getting an aes 390 just get a forged crank or have them machine a key way into it and run a key.

Front crank pin kit is better and cheaper. Bob at brute speed sells them for $95

keyway is easier and stronger. im sure aes will not charge much to put one in considering the crank is not yet in the block. no drilling or anything. just the way god intended. however if for some reason you do need to pin, sweet99ss is correct. the front pinning method is the way to go vs side pin. you can also double pin from the front but i dont know of anyone shearing a front pinned setup.
