Race gas question

Race gas question I have little experience with race gas. I was just wondering if my car is tuned for pump gas and I'm running 8-9 psi on a 9.5:1 compression forged motor should I put a few gallons of race gas in my tank before I run at the track? Would it help at all? My car is also tuned very well I have 0 kr at WOT. Someone suggested it to me so I am considering mixing it with my pump gas once to try it out. 
If you have 0 KR, then unless your planning on dialing up the boost or running additional timing, the race gas will be of little benefit. if you were running on the ragged edge with boost or timing and seeing occasional KR, then yes race gas would add a nice margin of safety. otherwise your simply spending alot of money for nothing. if you have the ability to tune your own PCM, then you may consider making 2 tunes, one for racegas with a more aggressive timing curve, that will ping on pump, but not on the hot stuff, and you will reap the benefits of power from the timing or if changing boost setting is easily done on your setup, then maybe running more boost and some timing could be attained with race gas. hope this helps!

If your car is perfectly tuned then you would not need it.
If your car was tuned at 12:1 AF that would be on the edge for me. Then I would run some race gas.
My car is tuned at 11:1-11.5:1.
