Fbody coolant overflow reservoir relocation question
My turbo plumbing runs right where the coolant overflow reservoir once was, and I completely forgot that I needed to figure out what to do about that until tonight. Just looking for input on what container to use and where you placed it on your Fbody. Tried searching and couldn't find much.
Thanks!

I've used something similar to this in my old car.

The only design requirement is that the end of the overflow hose remains submerged so that it pulls coolant back in when it cools off. It can be higher or lower than the radiator cap, it doesn't matter. It doesn't need to be sealed. When I first started up my turbo project, my overflow was the hose dropped in a half gallon milk jug sitting in front of the A/C condenser. I recommend something that holds close to two quarts or better. One quart you will have to keep a close eye on it.
I made little bit better one out of left over tubing as well with a brass hose barb screwed in near/at the bottom. I salvaged the top vent and cap from the cars original.

Yes. Your overflow hose has to enter the bottom or extend from the top so the end is always emersed. If not the system will suck air instead coolant back in when it cools off.
