LS6 cam vs stock

I can't answer your question, BUT the LS6 cam IS a factory cam. You'll barely notice a difference in idle if you can even tell at all.
With that said, I've run this cam for years and love it. Makes good power too.

Im sure you would gain more w/ a bigger cam and the right size turbo....that being said there are a lot of guys that are very happy w/ the LS6 and probably just what your looking for if its a stock idle. After hearing Speed Inc. Tu2 I think I found mine

Ive researched the LS6 alot and I have ran one in my old twin turbo setup and in my current LQ9 6.0.
If you install a LS6 cam in a LS1 here's what to expect. Not much gain from idle to 4500 rpm. From 4500 - 6500 is where the gains are at. You will gain 25 maybe 30rwhp peak rwhp over the stock LS1 cam. The LS1 cam is dead at 5500, the LS6 cam will go to 6500.
Here are 2 dyno charts below. The one chart is a car with bolt-ons & a LS6 cam. The other chart (with the green lines) is a bone stock LS1 with a automatic transmission showing the difference between a LS1 cam & a LS6 cam.
