Im with ya on the spacing, i burnt up 2 trannys and broke one converter before i figured out it was the spacing in my old car.
I will say though , you say your converter is a 3400-3600 but from the video i would have guessed it was a 4000+. It sounds really loose. even before your on the brake it seems you can still footbreak it 3500+ ,just an observation.

I have used the Hygard fluid with great results. I normally run the low viscosity unless I'm trying to tighten the converter up a few hundred rpm's then I'll use the reg. viscosity.
I guess the trans are holding up well now Delbert?

I have a PTC with the LS snout. It fits perfect. But always check the convertor to pump clearance.
With every thing bolted up you should be able to find 3/16" clearance betweeen the convertor pads and the flexplate, when the convertor is pushed all the way back.
If you have too much clearance, that is where the washers come in.
I ran the spacer before and hated it. The deal PTC does is the ticket.
