Stay with the turbos

As others have said, I think you would regret giving up now. (I know I'm addicted)

Great, another 9 sec N20 car. Brad, you are anything but "just another". That route is not for you. 1st i think out manifolds are not optiomal, but beyond that, maybe its time to creep back the boost a little...and think about GEN 7. If you have faith in ESP than so do I...which is why Im taking ITSOVR4U's car there saturday...
You have to remember, having a 9 sec N20 car sounds fun and problem free, but isnt nearly as special... and not as appreciated. Not to mention what the wheelies would do to that nice car!
I will let you know how Jobe Jr (current choice) does with my car, they tuned a local camaro with twins that is 100 percent streetable, runs great..and runs 8s. 3 years running now (SBC, not LS1, but it is EFI.) .. See you the 29th and 30th... oh, and Saturday. Better get outta this funk, as you need to guide me through this before you lose total interest. I keep hitting delays... the l-19 head studs are the seemingly final main part..a few days should end that need as well.
Dont give up, re-commit. Maybe the stock PCM has something to do with this?

Brad's 10-second pass last year made me want to go 10's too. I got a tune up and switched to an auto and WOOHAA!!!
There's no shame in changing setups. People do it all the time. When I've had enough with the supercharger, I plan on going big cubic inches and nitrous myself, probably with a different car though.
Good luck Brad!!!!

sounds like you are more fed up with the kit and its complexity. there are certainly some great replacements out now and comming out you could switch to.
my plugs take 15 minutes.

i'm sure you have read this type of thread from me.. you just have to realize there is nothing beter than turbo.

RM's 800hp SBC would be in the 16:1 c/r range, and not very suitable for the street. I'm assuming you would need a C15 type fuel at $7.50/gal.

The good think is things cant get much worse so they can only get better. After the car is running right the greasy underhood wont bother you as much. Years ago I used to lose sleep over scratches, car not running right, I know how someting like like what you are going through can make you sick after spending so much time and money. Its just a car and there is no magic or mystery, you will find the problem eventually and you will forget about it when you are done and running..

Anybody who's wrenched on their car has had these feelings man. I broke down when my **** didnt work out. Fried 3 pistons. I decided to just fork out the money and send the car to a turbo expert and not dick around with it. I know a good amount about turbo theory, but it takes experience to get it done right. If I were you, I'd send your car off to a shop that knows turbos, turbo f-bodies would be even better. Just stick with it, it'll come together eventually. If not, sell it and get a C6. <-- I thought of that before. :-/

Rob

Hey, I had to remove and reinstall the Procharger on my Tahoe at least a half dozen times. I got so good at it I could have the entire setup, including the intercooler on the truck in an hour. Practice makes perfect.

Hang in there Noyzee, things will go your way... You just have to find your "center". I go to Tai-chi once a week, and that is my centering. Don't get me wrong, Wednesday night I am ticked, but Thursday AM all is well.

Noyzee,
I missed virtually the entire racing season last year screwing around trying to solve problems unique to LS1s. I felt like Dennis Cozner in Dances With Wolves, all alone out on the wild frontier, waking up with a new seemingly unsolvable problem every f...ing day.

My advice: If you want to race and make hot laps at the track week after week, buy a sbc or bbc car with carburators. Otherwise, get used to leaning over the fender of your FI race car, wallet in-hand.

LT and LS1s make great street cars. End of story.

I did it last year and i'll do it this year.
i changed the plug wires sat at east side, threw it on the dyno and made 560 rwhp with a BAD tune, tried to throw some corrections in it, and bang, 586 with af off the charts and 12 psi and 14* of timming. tried a few more tuning things, and 1'st gear i knew somthing was up, it was missfire, put the tune i made 586 with back in and still messed up!
I think the heat is getting to my wires, so i took it home last night got here around 11, pulled the fuel rails off, intake and covers, changed the cam sens while i was there, cleand the grounds, checked the harness.
Im sending my injectors out to be checked, and im relocating my coils and making new wires to avoid some heat.
i hope this works.
oh yhea, i tried new coils and it didnt help at all so im rulling that out.
Im staying with it, and it will run and fast!
enouph slumping around for me!!

Yeah brad like everyone said the TT is your style and the car def. wouldn't be the same without it. Plus you don't give up easy on anything and you won't let the turbos get the best of you...you will have the last laugh Plus if you get rid of the TT what would i do....no more watching you work on the car and drinkin beer. The white Z will run again
