Default Is S480 the best choice for LQ4?

I see a lot of guys using this turbo and it seems priced right.

I'm not hung up on HP #'s, but I need this 3300# car to run bottom 6's 1/8 mile minimum. Planning 93 and meth, but E85 could be an option.

Planning on a Stock LQ4 with cam, springs, studs and LS9's.

I'm sorry to beat a dead horse, just wanna have my ducks in a row before I commit to all the $'s

TIA

An S400 based turbo is just a badddd unit. Cheap, large aftermarket, and reliable.

The 80mm compressor will make more than enough power to run the number your looking for. The rest is up to you.

Thanks guys. I searched a lot before I posted and it seems a popular turbo, just a lot larger than what my long time turbo guy recommended is why I wanted to double check.

If I run on pump/meth what size injectors should I get and what for fuel pump/lines? I'll have to put a fuel cell in the car, so external pump I guess.

Can this be handled on a stock PCM with HP tuners or do I need to look aftermarket ECU?

Thanks again

There are a lot of threads on this. What power you looking for. Lots of guys do twin (in tank) pumps stock lines or 8feed -6 return 80lb injectors and make 700+whp Pump and meth e85 could do it also yes stock ecu is fine.
Just search around there's a lot of topics on this.......

S480 runs bottom 6's in my 4850 lb 4x4. Should be capible of lower 5's in a well set 3300 lb chassis. I definitely would go with E85 over pump gas meth if given the choice. I run pump gas/meth and it's a huge pia.
