Few questions about my build.
Hey guys, I'm currently working on an 87 Coupe LS swap.
I am going to be running a 5.3 with Callies rods, Wiseco -11 cc pistons, and ported 243's with LS9 head gaskets. All ARP hardware with studs.
My question is, would I be better with twin 67's or a single 88? Gonna be a street car that will be driven a good bit but I want it to be reliable.
Also, if my calculations are right, the head and piston combo should give me around 9.5:1... Can anyone voice their opinion on that? That's what I want to be around. Looking at running close to or maybe a tad over 20lb.
Intake will be a Victor Jr. EFI with either a Wilson TB or an elbow and a 90mm TB.
Thanks guys.
Chris

I'm partial to twins, that's what I have on my car and I can't imagine another setup running any better on there.
However, I'm also running a 6.6 ltr LS2 block with twin TC66 turbos. With that said, for smaller displacement 5.3, a smaller set of GT35's or similar around the 60mm range might be a bit more responsive for you on the street. And still have more than enough power on reserve.
