Big Props to AP Engineering........ I had a small problem on start-up with my wiend intake making lots of noise and Chris @APE called me from his home and helped me out. Awsome customer service... now if i could just get my T-Shirt.... ha ha.. kidding Chris....... Ill have new and updated pics tomoorow. Little stuff left..... Coming off the jackstands..... Oh and i got my Hooker cat-back on there with the sump and pump...... nothing a little :judge: couldnt fix...... All i can say is this thing sounds mean as hell and lopes pretty good for a cam on a 114+4 LSA. Thanks to AP Engineering once again. :hail:

gotta take me for a ride one day when its all ready :drive: :secret:

Chris@AP-Engineering Apr 25, 2004 11:52 AM

No problem helping you out Kyle, I am glad that I could help and that you got it fixed. Like I said yesterday......send us up that intake and we will make the production intake gaskets work with it. This way you will not have anymore leaks or sealing issues.

Thanks again for the business!

APE is the bomb.

WestSide Apr 25, 2004 12:24 PM

I was down....... lets see..... early Nov. So about 5 1/2 months..... damn i miss my car............. Im so tired of driving the Camary..... Chris if you could shoot me a PM about how much its going to cost me to have you machine the intake for the stock gaskets and if you can port it to that would be awsome......... Ill be going over this afternoon as soon as my buddy comes and picks me up...... its flooded here.... 6" of rain in like 7 hrs so the EL Camary wont make it....... ive already tried and was like ummm no.... i dont need the beater to hydro lock. Thanks guys and thanks again to
AP ENGINEERING...... THANKS CHRIS.

BIGBOS Apr 25, 2004 01:07 PM

Good deal, how does it idle w/ the 60's?

NA$TY-TA Apr 25, 2004 01:11 PM

Bos, The longest ive had it started was about 30 secounds but ti seemed to idle just fine...... the car hasnt found its idle yet.... still searching..... im taking my laptop over and im going to watch my L Trims and see if she goes positive any..... if it does ill pull the PCM and send it back to Jayson at MTI and get it a little closer and then put my 500 miles on the motor and go up and get it tuned. Whats it look like with you??? whens yours hitting the dyno?? More pics this afternoon or early evening.....

May 10th is still my dyno appointment.....

I have a P1336 code that won't clear, I have a feeling that LS1edit is messing w/the Tech II, so I'm not messing w/it anymore until I bring it into the shop.....

Crankshaft variation not learned BS...........I'm sure it can be handled a different way, even if it means reflashing the computer.....

They didn't have problems w/the customers car whos running 60's, they said I will probably have to run open loop, that means I'll just have to change plugs more often....

Good news is.......my belt is holding up great so far after about 100 miles of driving and some part throttle testing, trying to fix the P1336 code involved some of this

TWS Apr 25, 2004 01:42 PM

Congrats on getting it running again.

Post up when you are headed to the track. Do you go to TAD or SAR? I wouldn't run a "fast" car farther than the 1/8 at TAD.

Would like to meet up and check out your ride.

Right on Kyle, glad to hear everything is working out for you.

Now lets see some track numbers!!:drive:

She moved out of the garage under her own power today and by the way Todd i got my Hooker catback to fit on there with the sump.......... i had to massage it with a hammer and seems the muffler doesnt sound any different and now all fits well and nothing rubs back there........
Heres a few picks.....
Moving for first time in 6 months......

She idles at 950 and my L Trims are just fine Bos..... staying negative.. at idle there -1.5 I know its not pretty with out a lid right now, but im just happy to have a running F-Body again...

I gave it a bath for the first time in almost 6 months and the water still beads......

A little more work left.... cant wait till payday on friday so i can put full coverage back on it and run it around on the street..... and yes i had insurance on it in the garage.... comp. for theft, fire, yada yada...
Thanks to all my friends who helped me along the way and thanks to AP Engineering. Oh and Chris it was the intake... i swaped it back to the Wiend and the noise came back....... so a LS1 intake will be on there for a while.....

Looking good, have you decided what you are going to do for the supercharger setup yet :)

Good to see the motor/injector combo is working good :)

NA$TY-TA Apr 26, 2004 08:17 AM

Im going to go with SD Conepts spring tensioned 8 Rib setup and see how that works...... Ill keep ya posted.
Kyle

BIGBOS Apr 26, 2004 11:43 AM

I'm pretty sure that combo will workout, I just wish they would of had their product together a little better in the past :)

NA$TY-TA Apr 26, 2004 02:39 PM

Yeah i believe it will work well form me. I am wanting to see about 550rw and 600tq so i should be able to reach my goals....... If Vette's can use a spring tensioner and run 15-16 psi then theres no reason i cant do it...... i have the steel automotion brace also..... Probably by the end of may or first week on june ill be heading for the dyno........
Kyle

BIGBOS Apr 26, 2004 02:56 PM

Sounds good, I'm hoping for anywhere over 600rwhp for now.....but we will see......

Chris@AP-Engineering Apr 26, 2004 06:42 PM

Kyle, I knew it was the intake. Send it up and we will fix that problem for you. You will be fine breaking it in with the LS1 intake. Hurry up and get the miles on her.

Thanks
