Default pistons and rods for turbo ls1?

Building a turbo ls1 with 317 heads want to buy forged rods and pistons but noy sure what to buy. Was told to stay around 9.1:1 do I run the 6.125 length rods? And what piston will get my compression down to 9.1:1? Looking as the callies rods and wiseco pistons form texas speed. Please help.

K1 gets good reviews and their quality for the price seems OK. You can't go wrong with Callies, Lunati, etc as I think they all make a good product depending upon how much boost and power you are planning to throw at it.

K1 rods 6.125 with a .927 pin ARP2000, diamond dished pistons(-8.6cc dished #11503?) with a .040 compressed head mls gasket...with a 317 head oem chamber size it should be about 9.0-9.3 compression.

Good for about 1000hp+

ive always been one to use Wiseco pistons. youre compression ratio is determined by cylinder head volume, head gasket thickness, and the cc's the dish is on the piston which you can get in different cc's. You can get some callies compstar 6.125 rods with a 2000 bolt for about $540 and theyre rated for 900hp.

Wiseco Pistons, callies compstar rods, stock crank would be a great setup. I would also try and get to 9.5 compression if your using straight 93, if your using e85 or meth id go to a minimum of 10:1.
