Help me decide on used STS kit Hey guys, it's been awhile since I've posted here hoping i can get some good opinions! I'm an ASE certified tech with 12 years experience so I can grasp any details you feel like throwing at me, lol.
I'm looking at buying a used STS turbo kit for my '02 SS, they guy said he bought it In January this year, and at that time the kit was one year old. here is the ad as written:
Its an sts rear mount turbo. New parts:Turbo is an STS t5 67mm, just rebuilt never installed with 1 year warranty, brand new in package 42lb injectors,new glowshift piller pod with boost gauge, wideband, trans temp.install manual, Diablo intune live data tuner, intercooler piping.used:all piping,bov,water Meth,oil pump,lines etc.
I know STS upgraded their kit since the original debut and judging by the pics I got it i think it is the older kit (has just the single charge pipe for the LH subframe connector.)
Questions I have:
- Any main problems I need to look for with the original kits that need addressed/ modded?
- When did STS upgrade the piping?
- any other extra costs I need to think about before buying this kit?

The biggest thing i would replace is the scavage pump, as the ones STS provided weren't very good. I upgrade mine to a turbo werx, before i decided to go with a front mount.
