Default 383 with a pt7675?

I'm planning on running a pte 7675 .96ar turbo on my 383 on 10lbs. Am I going to run into back pressure issues? The original plan was to use a jy 5.3 but the 383 is already in the car and has forged internals.

I wouldn't, I had a 76gts on my lsa headed 370 and it didn't make **** for power and fell flat on its face at 5500 rpms.

You must have had something messed up. My 370 with the 76gts .96 a/r made plenty of power past 5500. Definately did not fall short after 5500.
The setup is in my vid in sig. Vid was initial tuning runs, pig rich yet and reviewing my logs shifting at about 5400. I got it more dialed in that day but the drag radial were not holding it anymore and brakes were making noise so i quit. Later i turned the boost up to 20psi and she was a rocketship compared to the run in the video I got dumb hot lapping it and had a fuel loss issue which led to a blown head gasket.
But it worked great I think.

I mean im not looking to set the world on fire, maybe trap 105 in the 1/8th mile. I know my cylinder liners are probably on the thin side for this stuff hence the low boost. Its just alot more work to pull the shortblock thats already in there for a 100k jy one when this one has about 2k miles on it and has forged pistons/rods/crank. Im also figuring that a 383 on 10lbs will make more power than my built 4l60e wants anyway. This is kind of a stopgap to get me through this year then I plan on building a callies/wiseco 5.3/4L80.

Sure the turbo is small for a 383 but you said you are only after about 10 psi so who cares, run it and have a very quick spooling setup that is heavy on torque. You can always change it later to a larger turbo when you decide you want more.
