Pin B should read somewhere around 2.5 volts with key on engine off...if it reads closer to 5 volts then it is a 1 bar...I know that if you got the map sensor for the 97 Grand Prix GTP which had the supercharged 3.8 it is a 2 bar map...the only way it wouldn't be is if someone returned one in the wrong box and to check that you would do what I mentioned above. Since you had to slot your connector for it to plug in I am pretty confident that you have the 2 bar.

I called the dealer with just what part I wanted from the year Grand Prix and model. After hearing their crazy price and having to wait a week to get in, I just went to Autozone and got the Duralast equivilant (which they had in stock for less than half the price of the dealer). So, all I have is the part number from the duralast unit.
It is possible that they may have given me the regular map sensor from the non supercharged 97 Grand Prix. But if it looks entirely different than the 2 bar from the supercharged 3.8 one, then it can't be.
I am fairly confident I got the right part, but the tuner was not sure as he had never heard of anyone using that MAP sensor on a car before as their 2 bar.
Do you know if the non supercharged 97 Grand Prix map sensor looks different or has a completely different hookup than the 2 bar does?
