How Will My Cam React To Boost? Alrighty guys, I Have a L33 5.3 naturally aspirated at the moment, but I've got 2 63mm turbos waiting to be put on it.. Planning on running 15-20 pounds, but was wondering how the cam that is in it would do.. specs are: .595 .598 232/234 on a 112. Should it make decent power or will I be leaving alot on the table with keeping this cam? It will be fuel injected, it has stock 799 heads right now. Not sure what else you all need to know, but thanks for any help in advance!

i think that cam may be too big for a 5.3 but will make a hell of a lot of power (and rpms) when its spooled.
my 6.0 had a 234/234 .612/.612 114 and it made an estimated 950 hp at 12psi, on methanol. problem is, with the victor jr intake, it didnt want to shift till 7400 rpms

I can tell you that you should get pistons and rods first, I melted mine @ 18 lbs with those turbos. the cam might be a little large but will work due to the 112 sep. also with those turbos is you use the internal waste gates you will see no less than 22lbs of boost, I welded mine and am using a pair of 44mm gates and have full control of boost from 7-36 lbs of boost but don't go higher than 30lbs without head studs.
