Default Power gains from A methanol injection kit?

Okay heres my set-up 1995 z28 383 stroker built with a vortech ttrim model pushing 10psi currently. Car has a front mount intercooler but its mounted just about the lower front air dam --- front bumper is not opened up to allow more airflow threw it... Anyways its making close to 600rwhp right now... We were reading about methanol injection kits...I heard at the boost were at right now we would not see much power gains cause of the low boost. maybee 10-15hp is that true??? Would u think adding methanol would make more power since I have a intercooler also? more like a double source of intake cooling temps? Also would I need the car -retuned again after I install methanol? cause if we need it tuned we would like to run alittle more boost like 14psi or so

I would guess 40-60 hp if running gas. E85 will be a bit less.

I'd agree with that, maybe a tad bit more. It will allow you to increase timing a little, cool the charge air (improve VE).

Some info from DSport Magazine article: http://www.snowperformance.net/produ...cle-pdf-42.pdf

And yes, you should re-tune to take advantage of the benefits (you can safely increase timing at a minimum)
