Yes the car is intercooled big procharger cooler, rated at 1300hp
on the sat day event i was seeing 60deg iat at the 1/8 mile on a 92deg day
At 5 psi i would run timing around 24deg and start dropping as you increase boost. Get it dialed in that car is going to fly.

A cam change can do wonders for spool time and overall performance also.

I am surprised the heads are not lifting on ya. 241s have the thinnest deck of any Ls head. I would be curios if a 3.23 or even a 3.08 gear would do better as it puts more of a load on the engine helping spool time.

going over the log, i was going through the traps at 6770rpm limiter is set at 6800,
in my opinion if this thing lights off down low, i think it may pick 1-2mph on the big end pushing pass the limiter.
Maybe going to a 3.23 set anyway.

I did push a lil water at the first of this build as i only torqued the heads down to 6olbs, went back through after about 1000 miles and retorqued the heads to 70lbs with no problems as of now...

Plans when all said and done is to see 24-25psi on this engine.

First off, sweet setup! I'm running a similar 5.3 @ 17psi 16*t and went 9.82 @ 143 this weekend. Pretty excited it was the first real WOT tuning I got to do with the car. (mines a good deal lighter than yours)

Have you tried turning the alky off for a pass? Local here runs e85 on his 10:1 5.3 with 26psi+ (76mm) on e85 alone so I think you'll be fine.

Don't get me wrong I'm all for keeping the meth inj on the car. But I've personally sprayed too much too soon and it KILLS the spool-up. Especially if you are running a water/alky mix. Is your alky controller progressive? Or you just have 3 nozzles coming on at full at different boosts? .

When I switched to 100% meth and went with a a progressive controller bringing the meth online slowly around 15lbs and full on at 30 it was a night/day difference. May be worth a try limiting the inj amount until the turbo is good and spooled anyway. I used 2 15gph rated nozzles (think they are rated at 100psi though) at 200psi on my 3.8. Alot of fluid overall. Was the difference between a 1.7 and a 1.4 60ft.

Good luck!

^^^ thank you, i will try turning the meth off down low.. it does go fat right at 8psi 10.2 then comes out of it very fast as the turbo lites off.
I spray 3 nozzels all at once at 6psi of boost,

do you leave on a brake or foot brake?

The 1.4x was off the t-brake and about 15psi. (tiny motor) I left off the foot brake with low 1.5x many times as well though.

I’d suggest a progressive controller if it’s in the budget. You can pick them up semi cheap these days. (check out devils own progressive controller) Or You could grab a solenoid and a boost switch (also found at devilsown.com) and turn on one nozzle at say 10psi and the other 2 at 15+. Def. don’t want it coming on during the burnout or when you’re trying to build boost off the line.

Lol 1.4 would be nice. My 2.0 is weak.
What is your stall speed and how far can you come up on the brake?

With the Th400 in my car and the 3.55 gear I could not build boost either 1st gear is too low. I switched to a 3.00 gear and much better, havnt track tested yet though.
I previously had a glide in it and could foot brake it up to 11psi. To make my TH400's 1st gear the same as when I had my glide i'd need a 2.86 rear gear. With the glide I footbraked 1.41 60fts. I only have a 76mm and also a 3800-4000 stall and also 28" tires. I'd agree your gear and those small tires are killing you.
