LT's + Vortech = lean?

I have a question about putting LT's on my car with the vortech unit. According to Superchips I can't without making the car go lean is this true. They told me that I would have to reprogram the car and have it dynoed. Is there a less expensive way around this, or am I stuck putting shorties on it for now? There isn't a dyno in my area or at least any that people aroung here know of. Any help would be greatlt appreciated.

1) Yes if you make more power you need to give it more fuel

2) Then don't do headers.

3) Where you located?

So even the supplied fuel pump and bigger injectors that come with the vortech aren't enough? I'm located in Cody Wyoming, the middle of nowhere.

I thought headers usually richen the A/F? I do know that even if you get shorties, you will need a new tune as they will through off the A/F.

I can't tell by your post if you already have the Vortech kit or not. If you don't, then not to worry, there is a Superchips order form included with the kit (there is a checkbox for if you have headers).
If you already have the kit installed, adding headers will lower your boost by about 2PSI, and you'll pick up a few horses. You'll need to pulley back up to make real power, though, but don't do that without a retune.
That said, I don't trust the Superchips tune regardless. I lost 50 horses with superchips. I always recommend a custom tune for supercharged LS1's, the extra $300 or so is worth it in the long run. :bomb:

I already have the kit installed. I was told once that the program from superchips wasn't a very good one, but that's what come with it. Who or what company would you recommend for the custom install?
