Default plug gap for boost ???

Ok I have a stock ls, lq4. Im running 12 lbs boost. and running tr6 plugs at 0.28 gap.

Ive a problem getting revs over 5000rpm, is it possible that my plugs are gapped to wide, and the boost is putting out the spark ?

I just came back from the track, and I checked my data log, and after 5000 rpm the engine literally shuts down,,,my data for afr shows spikes of rich and lean, from top of map to the bottom....

Anyone had these problems.....

Pretty hard to make a full pass when I cant get over 5000rpm

i run stock coils on my car.

i dont think the ls6 springs are going to be enough. i have no personal experience with them but i would think you need better springs. some people here may say they are good enough.

Just debating this as well. I run on e85 and my br7ef plugs were gapped at .028. When I cranked the boost up to 13-15psi I was breaking up badly in the back half. Running 10psi was fine. I am going to try the b8efs's gapped to .022 as I've heard of guys having great luck with them. I've also heard that e85 can foul up the br7's, but that may not apply to your setup

Ok,it wasn't spark. It was my fuel map .the afr was spiking lean, then rich ! The Holley system map was not matched to my sensor.... I think I have it now......

In my last car I had to have them gapped at .20 to get rid of the spark blowout issues but on my new setup I am at .26 no problems . I think each combo is going to need something different .

Im not crazy about it..I thought it would be a whole lot easier than it is,,Im still tuning ! Its not a pug and go play thing at all!!!!

finding the right tune is not what I thought it would be , even though I bought the LS model....youd thing if Holley was selling a LS version , that they would give you a LS map to run !

NO SO !!!

If I didnt have a couple of buddies here in town for support Id be screwed !!
