What coils do you have, the heat sink ones? I'd bet it is just too low timing, those coils having issues firing correctly at low timing.

Haven't been back to the track but I ran my buddies z06 which is making similar power to me in these runs. On medium boost from a dig I had no issues with breaking up like I did at the strip. I very rarely push more than spring pressure on this car so it was working great when i poured on more boost. Ran it up to about 130mph. So far so good with the b8's and .023 gap.

Yes I have the heat sink round coils, but they were fine before the BR7EF's.

Anyways, I switched back to TR6's gapped at 0.028" and the breaking up went away. I'm also running more timing now, around 15* I believe.

Yeah that is the problem, colder plug and low timing and those coils won't work, we have found 10 degrees or less we have this issue on a few cars. The car coils seem to be better for this.

As the coils dont know what timing is, any thoughts as to why that problem occurs ?

Not sure why it happens, I just know it does. The big shot nitrous guys have commented on it also.
