Default When should i ditch the Truck intake?

running a AES 390 with a P1sc, within the next year it will be upgraded to a D1sc 10-12lbs boost. i am using a bone stock 2002 lq4 truck intake, at what point or at what power should i start thinking about replacing it with say an edelbrock intake or something of that sort?

A truck intake has been 5.40s @~3200 lbs and 27+psi. IMO unless you are going over that or think it looks like ****, then I wouldn't do it.....but that's just me.

I don't know of any back to back comparison....

if you have the money thats one thing, but find out what the results are on other combos that have made the switch and see if the ends justify the means.

There are lots of people who run car intakes over 1000 rwhp and the truck intake is better than the car. Of course you can gain power with a better intake but with boost its not as big of a deal as it with a n/a car. You are forcing the air in with boost and N/A has to use vacuum to get its cylinder fill.
