Default Wheelie?

On a 4th Gen Camaro/Firechicken:
Taking into consideration that you have a stock(ish) weight car, and are able to to dead-hook the tires at launch...how much hp/tq does it actually take to raise a wheel off the ground, or both?

PLEASE only factual responses! Respond ONLY if you know your hp/tq dyno numbers AND you know for a fact that you can raise your front wheels.

90/10 front shocks would make a big difference, allowing front to lift quickly and weight transfer to rear wheels.

I've seen 2 different 6 speed cars do it with bolt-ons (~340rwhp) and a 9" with ET Drags.

It isnt really HP/TQ related. My N/A setup 400whp 6 speed and 4.30 gears pulled them up 6-8". My turbo setup with twice that power and 3.50 gears doesnt get them up at all....because I want the car to go straight forward, not up in the air wasting energy. Rear gear and the suspension geometry is what does wheelies. If I moved my suspension and changed the instant center the car would do wheelies.

My old cam/converter 98 Z28 pulled a tire a couple inches with 360rwhp (Dynojet). Stock suspension all around except for Lakewood LCA's and MT DR's. Car was lightened some.

Once you start pulling the wheels up you spend the rest of your time trying to keep them down.

Lol, true however they do make for good pics. I like my pic because it has all 4 off the ground. Believe it or not it didn't even mess up anything when it came down
