Default lq4 tc78 build.

thought id throw my turbo lq4 build on here and see what you guys think.

engine is a stock 2005 lq4 with a fresh crank and bearings stock rings with the rings opened up to .024,gm musclecar pan, stock 317 heads , 206/212 comp cam528/540 lift. 114 ls, 7.4 comp pushrods, comp 1.75 rollers and 8017 pac dual springs, stock truck intake(2003 intake) with return fuel line with 60#or 80# injectors. stock truck manifolds turned around with vbands welded on 2 1/2 crossover ,tc78 turbo with .96 housing , 350 th with 3000 stall, stock body 1970 nova 3.73 gears now but will most likely be 3.23 gears.

as it sits im thinking about hp tuners or efilive I have a stock ecm and harness that needs redone. and im thinking of trying a walbro 450lph pump in my fuel cell .

looking for 10 flat at 135 mph car will see some track runs but more street driving and driving what I want is more power than I have now with my 406 11 sec motor with much better drivability. thanks in advance.

All looks pretty good, but the FI 68 exhaust wheel on the TC78 is gonna be your biggest bottle neck, expect the turbo to run out of steam over 5000 rpm.

While it may not be ideal..... that turbo can still haul ***.

You should set it up with twin pumps from the start and bigger injectors.

This 6.0 powered Mustang with a TH400 and TC78 went 9.32 @ 150.7mph

I was going to get it running and turn it up slowly I have heard there is a couple different housings up to a 1.52 ar that should help.

I thought about the dual pumps then I found the walbro 450lph pump and thought it whould be as good im still looking into the fuel system.

Converter will make or break you, spend the money and get a good one.

One of the best spooling setups I've seen was a 6.0 with 5.3 heads, fairly good size cam, tc76 with .96 housing. Made 720rwhp to 6000rpm on 18lbs and spooled instantly.
