Default maggie guys help please

first off working with an 02 ls1 out of an Camaro.. now the motor is about 90% back together it has got heads, cam, and a Maggie when installing the supercharger it wouldn't sit down on the heads in the back and noticed it as sitting on the oil pressure sending unit being its oval I loosened it enough to get the flat side toward the manifold and it set down like it should but then trying to tighten the unit back up it broke it is hitting the manifold where the top and bottom manifold meet.. has anyone had this issue if so what was done to fix it... and is there maybe a shorter sending unit that can be used other then the oem one thanks guys

I used a 90 degree brass fitting to get the sender away from the manifold.
