Default Heads

My ATI kit should be here this week.

From all your advice I will be getting rid of my Stage II heads.

I just have not decided on either going back to stock with dual-springs. Or 6.0L heads. I was planning on going back to stock, but might have a good deal on 6.0L heads.

My goals is 450 to 500 rwhp with 5# of boost. 7# if I need it to get to my goal.

I only want to switch my heads once, what would be the best combo??

Mmmmmm, ATI !! Should be loads of fun Ed !

Let me know when you're doing the install (or when it's done) - I'd love to come check it out !

What's done to the 6.0L heads, anything ? I think the 6.0L heads will make for less overall compression over the stock 5.7's if both are untouched...

Damn, I have been found out! Keep in quiet Rob.

The kit should be here tomorrow according to FedEx. Depending if Pat has time, we are going to start on it this week in the evenings.

The 6.0L heads have a lower CR. But not sure I want to go that low. I don't plan on running alot of boost. Yet...

Hey what are you doing in this forum?

You cannot hide, MUHAHA !!! Actually I ran across a post where you were asking about springs and thought I'd see what you were up to. I knew you were thinking hard about it and I had a feeling you'd be going this route.

Don't worry - [Sgt. Schultz] I know nutheeenk ! [/Sgt. Schultz]

The 30th is going into Don Lee's next week for new valvesprings (preventive maintenance) and a full physical. Might be going to shorty headers too, stupid CARB...

Gotta change my screen name

Ya it sucks in Cali. I also thought about shorty headers. Jason did pretty good with his and his Vortech. He made 544 rwhp.

I might have some 73cc chamber, 5.7L Stage II TEA heads for sale in the next week or so......

I'll let them go for $1100-1200 depending on shipping........they lower comp to lower than 9.5:1, and have less than 1000 miles on them

PM me if you are interested

Even though I don't plan on running that much boost? Doesn't ATI say you can run up to 8# on a stock engine??

Thanks.

Go as long as you can go for compression. We have big V8's we don't need to worry about bottom end torque we don't have 183ci engines like Supras.

Why are you selling them and how did they drop the CR? Did they just open up the combustion chamber?

I'll be selling them if I go back to an N/A setup, I'll know in a week or so.....

They are TEA's stage II 5.7L head, but with a 73cc chamber, it lowers compression on a stock motor to under 9.5:1
