Default Gauges?

I'd like opinions on what gauges to run..I've got room for 9 gauges(minus tach and speedo) in the center section of my car. They will be Autometer ultra-lites. Right now here's what I'm thinking:

Boost
Air/Fuel Ratio
Oil Pressure
Oil Temperature
Fuel Pressure
Fuel Level
Voltmeter
Trans. Temp
Water Temperature

Any gauges that you would exchange for one of these instead?

The car will be primarily street driven, but will see a few open track days a year, and will be taken down the strip on slicks or ET streets a few times a season as well. I'd like to keep an eye on everything. 9 gauges might be a bit overkill, but it will fill up my center section perfectly, with three to a row both horizontally and vertically.

Thanks,
Ralph

Yeah, I would ditch the AFR gauge for an EGT gauge.

I'd ditch the trans temp, run the boost and fuel pressure on the A pillar since you need to keep an eye on those frequently, and run 2 rows of 3 down below. 3 rows of 3 might look overdone.

1.Get the new Electric Boost gauge from Autometer with warning and peak memory. I just recived mine and it look nice and u dont have to keep an eye on it when u are driving.
2. Get a Electric Fuel pressure.
3. If u want an AF gauge get a wideband one. There are alot out there and a nice one would be FJO if u want to put it in a pillar or get the LM1 for a hand held one that u can put in the car. The LM1 is nice because u can log runs and u also can use a analog gauge if u want.
I think the other gauges will be useless, but if u really want to get something more get the IAT gauge from autometer to see how ur intercoolers work.

Good luck.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the replies. This is going into a 68 Camaro, not a 4th gen, so I have plenty of room in the center section for the gauges. The car will have no stock gauges, so the voltmeter, oil pressure, gas, and water temp. are needed. The car will be roadraced so I need to keep a close eye on things. Esp. Oil temp.

LSs1Power,

Thanks, I'll check that stuff out.

Thanks
