Turbo? How much an what? I've got a ls2 that I've updated with prc 227 heads, fast 102/102 arp everything besides rod bolts, didn't touch the pistons or rods! 
but if I turbo I'll be changing my ms4 out for a boost cam... My main question is what's a good power level to push this setup, I have no problem testing limits an what's a good single turbo for that range of power? This is also all swap into a s2000.

I haven't seen LS2 style rods actually kick the bucket yet with a good tune. Want to be the guinea pig? 
Power output will depend on tuner capabilitie and how long you want it to last. Also your plans for the car. I think a billet s480 is the best bang for the buck and good for 1300 rwhp for the future. If you dont habe the coin just get the cast s480 for 900.

i like this turbo, an it isnt a bad price at all! but will it be laggy if i stay in the 800-900whp range
With the proper cam, torque converter, turbine and AR housing it should spool pretty quick, more power than you will be able to put to the ground thats for sure. You can even even get away with a s475 which is about 650 bucks and will make 800rwhp.
