how/what would you build? Hey im a newbie moron looking for help. I have a 82 S10 with a sbc right now. I will be selling off thr sbc to go ls. Its backhalved and caged. My goals are to run 8s. It wil probably get a powerglide. I will most likely run a single turbo. It will have mostly carbon fiber panels so should be pretty light. Around 2700 with me in it im guessing. So im not sure what direction to go. 5.3 or 6.0. Turbo I was thinking s480? I will run e85. Most likely injected. Its not necessarily a budget build but im not looking to spend 20k on a steve morris engine either. Any suggestions are appreciated. Im completely new to ls.

With that s480 6.0 will probably work better for that size turbo. 5.3 will work fine too it'll be a little slower spooling but if you got the money there's no replacement for displacement. I've always had goodluck with the 6.0 and run faster than with my 4.8's and 5.3's i've run.
