Anyone pieced together a water/meth kit?

Default Anyone pieced together a water/meth kit?

Just wanting to see what parts the people that have pieced together meth kits have used. Im just wanting a basic kit, and to do a on/off with a hobbs. Figured I could save a few dollars if i pieced it together. So, it may be worth a try. Wondering who people go with for the follow parts.

1.) Pump-Seems like everyone goes with shurflo or something based off of it

2.) Solenoid-Only found vendor options here. Any affordable solenoids elsewhere?

3.) Nozzle-Vendor options here. What does everyone who has pieced a kit together like?

Or everyone could tell me to buy "kit a" or "kit b." Which is where I figure this thread will go

I have a 2.5 gal tank with a devils own pump, then a -4an nitrous line I had up to two 14gph nozzles from devils own.

Triggered off signal from eboost street. Nothing fancy, but so far, have not needed to use it.

i kinda did, bought a holley pump & nozzle, ran my own line & tank

I think i saw on AEM's website they sell the meth injection controller.....worth checking out, if need be i can PM you the link.

i have pieces of a Meth injection kit from an old STS turbo kit, that i am no longer running so i'm curious as how to hook mine up as well

I did. Used my windshield washer tank to hold the meth/water, devils own pump and nozzles/holders and check valve, snow controller, and -4AN stainless braided lines and fittings.

Where did you get your snow controller?
Also could anyone show, or draw up your wiring and pumbling diagram, just to help us lost souls out that haven't gotten ours together yet?

eBay. Part number was VC-25 for the boost referenced one. I think they have some other types for different boost ranges and maybe one that references MAF voltage.

I have a Snow performance kit for my Diesel truck. its a complete setup, why couldn't you use that one? It has noting to do with the program of the car just dumps a percentage into manifold. I also use my windshield washer tank as the holding tank. All i had to do was drill and tap manifold and about 10 min install and works great on the truck.

when is a check valve necessary?

im going to be using the washer tank as well...not sure if pump will be higher or lower than the inlet line

The shurflo pumps have a check valve in them. You don't "need" solenoid or check valve. Check valve is mainly to keep the line primed up to the nozzle.

I've pieced together 4-5 kits now. If you just want a basic setup you really don't save that much money cobbling together a kit.

The tanks in most kits are crazy overpriced, but the nozzles/pumps/fittings are usually competitively priced so it averages out. Using your existing washer fluid tank and just buying the basic $200 kit is cheap and easy.

My yukon washer tank, is pretty long and reaches pretty far down...id have to tap into it pretty low to get the most fluid out of it as well as take advantage of my in dash low fluid warning....does this mean that the pump has to be mounted lower than my feed line coming from the tank?
