stock bottom end limitation?
I have a 2001' Z28 (auto) which Ive bought the 6L80E/Yank stall and soon a 12 bolt, so Im not worried about the drivetrain. Im also using a Precision 7675 turbo set up. Ive heard number from 800 to 500 to the rear wheels and Ive heard the tune has a lot to do with it also, which Im aware of, but I was curious if theres anything up top I can do to strengthen the block slighty, like pushrods, etc?
Here is mine. I just have a cam swap, springs, pushrods and s475 turbo. Otherwise engine is stock untouched 130,000 miles on it. Also stock untouched t56 and stock untouched rearend.
Made 755/663 at Tick Performance dyno challenge last weekend on 93 pump gas with twin 10gph methanol nozzles spraying 100% methanol. It was on 18 psi on a street pull but dyno is not loaded so boost was a tad less on this pull. Keeping afrs fat and 11.0 or less. Timing is only 14 degrees. Been riding for months like this unaware it was putting down this much till I got it on the dyno which the pull was cut 600-800 rpm short because of computer error on dyno. I told jonathan not to pull it again once I seen what it put down. Bottom end is at the breaking point at this level. Would be ok for a weekend only driver but daily boosting at this level, engine will die soon. Its just a weekend car but driving it normal and staying out of the high psi I guess it would be fine to daily drive. Makes more boost on the street though so probably closer to the 800 mark. But like I said I don't smash it that often just enough to make me feel good then I cruise lol. Sfe tune and you can crank the boost but keep timing low and afr rich enough and you'll be fine.

I have a newer truck so this would strictly be a weekend ride, and even then, probably only 2-3 days a month. I just want to make the most power but still be in a safe range. Im seriously considering a 5.3 ltr and changing a few things internally. My goal is 800-850 to the RW
