Default what blower cam? / what power to exspect?

Hi all, newbie in here

I run a 12psi s trim vortech on an ls1.
Lunati Pistons / Rods
Heads are flowing 575hp, ferra valves 2.80 and 1.65 crane double valve springs etc.

The car made 473rwhp on an aussie dyno with 9 psi......i intend to pump that up to the 12psi.

I have had the kit on a stock motor at 13 odd psi and it made 511rwhp.

The new motor is now built to take the psi....but cam selection?

I was thinking of a 218/224 on a 114LSA, but i have never messed with cams in an Ls1 before.

How do you guy's think this cam will go?....auto with 3000 stall, what sort of power should i exspect?

Hope some of you can help

I went with a cam close to what 5-liter-eater did. Mine is a 230/236 .592/.602 on a 114+4 XER Lobe......... For your i would go either a 224/230 .570ish/.580ish on a 114 or 115LSA so not to bleed off so much boost or i would go a little bigger with a 226/232 .580ish/ .590ish on a 114 or 115 LSA. Call a couple of cam grinder and give them all your specs on your car and tell them what you do now and what you want to do with your combo...... Talk to Chris at COMP.

What pulley combo are you going to run?

What are you going to spin the motor to?

I run:
8.0 vortech crank pulley
2.85 vortech blower pulley
YS Trim
8 rib setup
17psi @ 6800
T400 unlocked
230/236//3.7 overlap @ .050, 115, +2

I would run at least a 218/224.

I would keep the intake duration BELOW 230 if you want to keep the rpms down.

Blower will push your peak power up 500 rpms over an n/a setup.

hi all, thanks for the comments!

The motor is back in, blower is on. waiting on 3.46 diff gears an an LS1 Edit tune.

Ended up going fo a special grind cam. 218/228 114.....very nice down low with no blower............put 9psi in it and all hell is under my right foot. will let you all no how she goes on the dyno!
