Default Intercooler clearance?

How much clearance has to be behind the intercooler between it and the a/c condenser?
What's the minimum space required?

When I had my inter cooler up front it was about 1.5-2" away from the radiator due to space and my iat's were 150+ and my engine would overheat. Moved it in a different location and all problems went away. I would say you need Atleast 5" air dam between ic and rad but your condenser is only 100-120 degrees and doesn't have that much btu output to possibly effect iat's drastically so I would say it don't matter

That's one thing I was unsure about, if the condenser would be hotter or colder and if that would radiate heat to the IC. I'm also unsure about necessary airflow behind the IC.

Is it bad to mount the intercooler virtually flush against the a/c condenser? Should I try to leave a 1/4" gap? 1/2"?

The 1" thick air to water IC provided by Magnuson on the gen 1 CTS-V blower mounts onto the front of the AC condenser and covers it completely. Not exactly the same thing, but it's a point of reference.

I wouldn't worry about the condenser touching the intercooler. it wont effect it much. what fuel are you going to run?

I am flip-flopping, but I'll probably run e85.
I just don't want to nullify the intercooler's function if it can't let air pass through and around it.
I have the clearance to run about 1/4"-1/2" behind without major modifications, but if I need more, I'll have to strategize a little more.
