Default LM7 in 98 short box build..

well well, its my turn! doing the lm7 mated to my th350, going in my lil v6 98' sierra short box!
gonna be running microsquirt from live efi, 76mm "churbo" and the rest we pretty much all know how its goes by now hahah.
Planning on keeping it very stock in appearance and running the factory gauges. Trying to find a schematic for the 4.3l/98 gm harness, so that I can strip mine down trim the fat, useing the stock oil pressure, voltage, and coolant. The harness also runs the electric motor for the breaks... need that, and gonna use the fuse box ( relocated ) for power sources. basically clean is the idea!...

lets begin!

I really like those trucks. You should youtube red dragon turbo truck. It's the same truck as yours with a built motor and large frame turbo. When done right those trucks look bad ***

yeah that's a pretty bad *** truck for sure.. question I was looking at the edelbrock lsx fuel system .. lil pricy but seems like a reliable, complete kit. what are peoples takes on it?

and some progress

front rad support notched for intercooler, and tabs welded on. Now in permanent place, and the 5.3 is in !

I would just plumb the fuel system yourself. Buy one big pump or a couple smaller ones and then the lines, fittings, filter, rails, and regulator

Cool yeah ! Pump wise was thinking going with a I line frame mount, then just running a bypass hose where my current intank is. What is a solid " bang for the buck" in regard to a inline ?

you cant go wrong with the bosch 044. its $180 but will support 400-500 on e85. I would run dual small pumps because bigger pumps tend to overheat on the street

Yeah I'm gonna run two in parallel, I got 2 from a local parts store I deal with there rated at 100psi w/40 gpm @ 12 volts and have a areomotive fpr. The psi on the pumps are solid but the gpm is alil low. Running -6 (3/8) line. Plan to run 8 psi of boost so might even run the second off a Hobbs switch..

No I never meant to write efi live .. I tune my own stuff with megasquirt, gonna grab microsquirt kit off efi source, an the addr bonus is it has The "sloppy" base tune. And thanks the mounts I had to swap from the v6 to the v8 mounts from tht era of truck, as for the engine side unused the moroso adapter and then fabbed my own mounts. I made my mounts to actually sit the motor about 1.75" to the pass side to retain the stock location. Clearance is perfect everywhere! As for the tranny I just moved my factory crossmember up, and made a simple 1/4" extention plate to the mount keeping the " angle of the dangle" from the tranny to the pinion close to factory! Ill snap some pics !

haven't been at the pickup needed to get my Miata.. yup Miata, ready for winter storage. im a bit of a autox/solo2 nut.... but here are my quickly fabbed up over kill engine side mm, and my transmission "adapter" plate I guess. I originally had a nv3500 5speed.. so made that cross member work.
