My S10 5.3 Rear mount
Hey sup guys picked up this noma for $600 after doing my last s10 and having the frame bent to sh*t.
I quickly swapped out the 5.3 4l80e out of my old truck and put it in this one in about 2 days lol. The 5.3 is fast but I'm ready to make boost. This was a spontaneous over night decision also haha. Truck has a
5.3
228r Comp cam
PAC 1218 springs
Ls1 intake
4L80e trans
3200 278mm Circle D stall
I'm using a GT45 Turbo mounted behind the cab

The plan for the turbo build are:
-GT45 Turbo
-Siemens 60lb injectors
-Snow Performance Methanol kit
-AEM Boost gauge
-Aem Digital Wide and Gauge
-Dr.phil tune
-Walbro 400
-Ebay Wastegate
-Ebay BOV
-Shurflo 643-210 Scavenge pump
I'm hoping for 500 - 600rwhp or more! This is my DO so I'm probably gonna keep it between 10 - 10 psi of boost.

-10an drain fittings with a bridged oil check valve
picked up a FORD 8.8 rear end for $150!! It's a 3.73 position locker with disc brakes from an explorer. pulled the a lesson to have them redrilled for a chevy pattern.

Got alot of stuff done. Got my hot side complete this morning. A buddy at my job welded everything up for me
It's nice and stout. I also bought a holley accessory bracket kit from a friend. It was brand new. Bought a 3 gauge pod from a friend for $20 also. I HAVE my scavenge pump on the way along with 12ft of -10an stainless braided hose and 12ft of -4 an hose for the feed.

Nice black stepside with those wheels looks pimp. those are some serious meats too. Howmuch did you pay for the gt45, iveseen a wide range? Alsohow hard is it to put that 8.8 in there, looks like you arerelocating just aboutevery bracket so I guess welding them back is the easy part, doingthat so its straight andsquare isthe hard part. Btw im guessing you weighed the pros/cons but you mightwanna merge the 2 exhaust banks earlier if you can, then wrap with heat tape. Also i thought on remote setups the oil return was 10an fromturbo to a little sump mounted next to the pump then a 4an pressurized line to the oil cap, but imight be way off base.

A tip to make that shurflo pump live longer, run your oil supply through a cooler first. Friend went through 3 pumps in a year before doing this. Last pump has been going for over 5 years now. He used a small trans cooler with -4 fittings. Also some sort of vented oil sump below the turbo is ideal.
Do yourself a favor measure the drain hole on the turbo itself. Don't go any smaller than that for the drain line into the sump. My guess is -10 is no where near large enough for an optimal setup. The -12 fitting I had was much smaller than the required 19cm basically 3/4" hole in my last setup. (yours may be smaller)
Good luck looks good!

Not so much for the extra capacity, although I'd run a quart over the full line anyway. At least all the guys with the fbody pans do. There have been issues with the oil pickup being uncovered on hard launches. So it won't hurt anything. I did all last season with no negative effects.

Ron Stoppable,
nice build. Those Vette wheels really look nice on the truck. How are you liking the Holley FEAD brakets?
