The car has a 5" up pipe about 8 inch long I seen higher boost than requested it just doesn't make the power that it makes from 10 to 15 psi I was please with the gains of the cam on the same boost level I went from 650 to 700s easy fuel pressure @ idle is 60 psi during the run is about 68 duty cycle of the injectors r only @ 60% ars r 11.20s took fuel out did not help with # the goal for the car is to get it to run 5.40s 5.30s on the 1/8s after I figure out y its not making power on the top end the car ran 6.0s bone bone stock but it did feel like it faded on the top end then 2

Is there an intercooler? Spark plug gap? What torque converter?

The intercooler we r using is rated at 1600 hp I use 3 1/2" piping it normally reduces air temp by 40deg I am using a # 8 cold plug gap @ 16 The converter is a 4500 protorque the other worries I have is I know that with that high of stall and Powerglide is hard to get big #s how can tell if it is pushing thru the converter it doesn't spike on the dyno

What do the Rpms do when you shift ? When I blew through the converter my car felt like it had no drop between 2nd and high gear and the shiftlight never shut off going down the track. What lobes are used on that cam?

I doubt that. s475 with 96mm turbine and 1.32AR on a 5.3 def isn't maxed out at 15psi. I'd be asking someone like Brian Tooley or Martin from Tick if that cam is right for your combo.

Big wheel s475 should make close to 1000 HP at the flywheel. Your cam and converter aren't helping. No way that cam should be done after 6000 rpm on a 5.3 unless you're either floating the valves, building enough backpressure that the overlap is working against you, or blowing through the converter.

It was a 74mm front wheel the car went 9.30@147 bone stock at 15 psi car weights 2800 today we tested the new 88mm and at 9 psi it made 593 were before was 526 I did not have the chance to turn the boost up- what cam is the one I should run in this set up. I also check the compression and it was good thru all the cylinders leak test it as we'll is all good

Try it with the cam that is in the car. Can you post a dyno? Float may show up with a heavy loss of HP/Trq with RPM but its hard to say with all of the variables here.

I think your maxing out springs with that much lift already on them just from cam plus all that extra cylinder pressure from the turbo above 15psi..what brand are the springs and what rpm are spinning

Jose told me that turbo (s475, 96mm turbine, 1.32a/r) on a 5.3 would do 22-25 psi. I have this turbo on my ls1 and currently running at 20 psi and waste gate isn't pinned. That's just on a little cheap boost controller. Ill eventually pin gate and test actual psi its max is.

That intercooler doesn't look very big in those pics. Have you checked boost pre intercooler?
