Absolutely. Wet Sump.

Nothing out of the ordinary. Good pressure. Min of 45 to a max of 95.

I have seen a few cams have messed up front lobes. I have always thought it was because the front of the motor gets oil last. Is your oil pressure sensor signal getting smoothed in the log? What oil pan are you using? It could of course not be oil related at all though.

No smoothing on the oil pressure log and datalogging at 30FPS.

Using a factory oil pan with Improved Racing baffle and typically 2 extra quarts of oil.

Also snapped a quick photo of the Valve Spring box today:

Put an order in on Motion Raceworks Black Friday sale. Bought my new Grant Steering Wheel, 3.5" black anodized exhaust trim rings, and their Because of the Brave shirt.

As part of the 2018 weight reduction, I am planning to go manual steering. I ordered the Spohn Bump Steer kit. As usual, need the photo of the weight (will probably have a whole bunch more thiswinter):

I ordered the Rock Solid Motorsports front Tubular kit. I saw it had a shipping weight of 28lbs so it sat at the door longer than usual.

Decided to open it up and take a peek. Weighed each of the components individually. Used a small scale so it was difficult to get the accuracy. My calculations came to almost 25lbs on the dot. Their photos showed cutting 63.5lbs off. I already had the upper radiator mount cut and a couple of small bars installed. I am guessing it should be a 30-35lb savings by the time new radiator mounts are fabricated.

(2) Frame bars - 4lbs 2oz each
(2) Fender bars - 2lbs 8oz each
(1) Bumper Support Bar - 3lbs 4oz
(1) Crossbar - 2lbs 2oz
(1) Bumper Support Bracket - 15oz
(2) Headlight Bars - 8oz each
(2) Headlight Brackets - 1lb 14oz each
Total: 25lbs

More stuff ordered and scheduled to arrive this week.

Received a couple of new parts.

The Strange Q1200 Quick Release came in. Weighed in a shade over .7lbs.

Weighed the Grant Steering wheel, 2.3lbs.

The Pinto Manual Rack arrived:

And weighed in at 9.8lbs.

The new turbos have officially been ordered as well.

Ordered the Precision Gen 2 PT7675CEA Turbos. The Gen 2's are ball bearing. Will have the Ported H compressor cover with 4.0” inlet and 3.0 outlet, and Stainless steel .96 A/R V-band Turbine. These should more then enough turbo...for now.

Another day, another update!

Racecraft was offering a 10% off deal on Black Friday. I ordered the mounting brackets for my passenger seat. Those came in and threw them on the scale.

I ordered another 50mm Ching Chong BOV. I have only ran one but don't think it is a bad idea to have a 2nd.

Looking to avoid silicone couplers as much as possible in my cold side. I am changing over to Linder Power Solutions Alphaloc connectors. Haven't seen these used much, but the videos look impressive. Figure anything that can be done to avoid potential boost leaks will be nice. Yes, they are expensive, but it could be much more expensive if you lose a charge pipe on a hit.

**Not all of these are mine, but did get quite the shipment**

Also decided to update my intake. That is scheduled to arrive on Monday. Will put together an update when that arrives. Already sold and shipped my intake, elbow, and fuel rails.

More toys to come!

I had a lobe get wiped out as well, I was told the lifter could have been rotating in the trays. You have to weld those ferrules on for the couplers right? I've been looking at switching mine. I lost a race because of a broken clamp last year

That is shitty.

Correct, they would weld on the same as a V-band. Basically the replacement of a V-band, or silicone. More expensive, but I can see why.

That is all it takes, one potential loss. Makes these worthwhile.

Another week, another UPS delivery!

This thing is badass.

Going to be running the 417 Motorsports Billet low profile intake this year. Received the bottom of the intake today, and talked to Blake on the phone to order the upper lid.

This piece is absolutely awesome!

Intake was basically $1700 for the bottom. It's on Lil John's site.

No privileged discounts here. Will gladly start accepting if available though!
