Auto or 6 spd big power
So it isnt all rosy with an auto.
Difference here is. In the US, auto is more the norm, so people with a manual car seem to think they're a little different, or that driving a manual is a little more special.
Over here, manual is the norm, autos are very rare. Most see driving an auto is weird. And if you only passed your driving test with an auto ( very rare scenario ) you're only legally allowed to drive an auto.
Most factory manual transmissions can't handle high power abuse. This is why most of the big power guys use lencos and liberty transmissions and air shifted transmissions instead of production based manual transmissions.
Can a 6-speed handle 1500 HP? Yes, look at what the viper guys are doing. Lots of TT vipers out there.

The 6060 is probably the new favorite, as it is for most vette users. The biggest downside to using these built for 1000+rwhp is the cost. Its suprising what they cost compared to an equally capable automatic.
The *Well known shop* guy mumbled something about a level something or other and said to go to their website then stopped talking. Guess he was busy. Even though I bought my clutch & master cylinder from them... I do have to add, I couldn't get *guru*? on the phone like i'd been told to do.
Jeremy from RPM chatted to me for half an hour explaining what i'll need and why it'll last. Needless to say i'll be sending some money to RPM very soon. T56 Magnum with a few mods, tapped for sprayers etc. It's not that expensive if you don't have to change the tail housing/shifter. That's where the extra near $800 comes in! I guess i'm lucky that I don't have an F-body/GTO

I was going to use a standard T56 and see how long it lasts, but by selling that i've recouped near half the cost of the Magnum. Makes sense to me..

A stalled auto would be nice for a turbo and could digest some of the cam surge associated with bigger cams.
