Thats true .. felpro won't do any custom gaskets for me anymore. I had problems with the cometic .. felpro was the way to go.

I havent seen the aluminum one yet but have seen several of the cast ones and tuned a couple. The block is super nice IMO and Im switching to it for my new motor. One of the shops I do tuning for has built a good number of 440-460cu motors with the dart block. They really like the block and prefer iron over aluminum so I dont think I'll see to many of the aluminum ones.

I don't think it is necessary unless you're going to make over 1500rwhp. Threads are at the rop of the block plus 6bolt heads. Is it really worth the extra money ?

Point taken but you never can tell....what would start in one direction a lot of times ends up going in a different direction....and besides ain't nothing wrong with over building it imo.

HAHA now that is funny! I have one of these blocks running in my car with about 70 miles on it. I used all LS specific parts except for the oil pan.

To answer your question : You will run a 24x or 58x reluctor wheel depending on your wiring harness of course.

Yeah, I heard that same crap about it running early SBC stuff. But, not true!! It runs all LS stuff. I reapeat...ALL LS stuff....water pump, crank, oil pump, etc. Spoke to DART personally. As stated earlier, you will need oil pan adapter rails if you are going to run a stock LS oil pan. Otherwise, with Canton, Stef's or Olsen oil pan you won't need an adapter. Thos aftermarket brands I just named bolts right up. Something tells me this block is better and stronger than the RHS.

there was somebody that was casting or in the process of casting a block that is/was to use SBC rotating assemblies w/ LS top end stuff. I dunno who it was or if it ever hit the market.

THIS BLOCK IS NOT THAT PRODUCT.
