Compressor Map Airflow
Compressor Map Airflow I've spent a little time this week looking into turbo setups for the first time. I'm hung up on compressor maps and I'm needing some help. I've read up to 10 different pages on how to read compressor maps, but all have lacked an explanation on a certain part. The airflow part in lb/min.
What figure does this represent? Do I guess the horsepower I want to make and go by that? I always hear that, but then how do I know what pressure ratio will provide that to make sure i'm on the island peak? Or do I use the naturally aspirated horsepower and then create axis points with desired boost?
I'm probably just the normal idiot that it should've made perfect sense to, but it didn't, and I'd appreciate help.
