Default PT7675 CEA turbo

Im new to the ls stuff but I plan on doing a ls fox body I want to do a lq9 402 or 408 , and just purchased a precision pt7675 cea turbo with a .96 A/R I was wondering if that is to small of a turbo for that motor. It will b a street car mostly id b happy with 600hp on low boost and 800hp with some race gas on hhigh boost. I plan on just porting stock heads, small cam, and a fast 102mm intake with the necessary fuel supporting mods. And will b using a th400. What realistically are hp numbers I can expect?

Turbo is too small, you would be better off with a 346 or smaller.

On a 408 it will make around 725 wheel with the wg locked down but after 5000rpm power drops like a rock.

i would have to agree. ran the 7675 on a 5.3 and it was awesome.

i also have a 408 with a pt88 on it now, and some will same that turbo is too small for a 408. which maybe for max effort it would be but i still layed down ~900 rwhp on a mustang dyno through a 4l80e on 20psi with excellent spool for the street

Not to hijack the thread but what about that turbo for a 383? I local highly reputable shop suggested that turbo for my car and are putting the finishing touches on it now.

the 7675 will work on a 383. not optimal but will spool awesome. i would bet would max out near 750-800rwhp with proper mods. my buddy has my old turbo kit on his car 383 and its a pt7675 killed the 4l60e instantly and has been down since but thing spooled stupid quick and fun as hell haha. im sure he will post here if he sees it

You need a little larger turbine with the 408. Something like a gt50-80 . Or go with a smaller cube engine and the 7675 can get you there. How about twins?
