anybody using aluminum down pipes

I know LOTS of people run them, I sell tubing to those people everyday wanting to do this. The point is, it isn't recommended for a street car. Nobody says you can't do it. It WILL work,,..the question is, what type of purpose is the car built for, and how often used in that setting?
For example, a 1/4 mile run vs a 1/2 mile run..vs a 1 mile run. Let me know how those cars with direct fit aluminum pipes look after those different types of passes. 11 gauge is a must though direct off the housing......
