5.3 blow through carb selection help
5.3 blow through carb selection help Ok guy's it's time to order a carb for my setup. I plan to start off at 12psi of boost and end up at 20+psi
I'm not really looking for a brand war, just cfm of the carb.
Combo will be.
Stock 5.3
Vic jr carbed intake
blow through carb 650 or 750?
DNA gt45 turbo
Cam isky triple 12
Feel free to help with ?s
Th400
Stall????
3"down pipe
2.25 hotside

I've had QF carbs on NA set ups also. Great working carbs and the customer service is the best. I've emailed them before and they always get right back to me. Let us know the results, I may be in the market for blow thru.
u i did a holley 750 with the hanger 18 mods. my biggest problem was the power valves if your building a street car you will need them. i build boost fast and it was blowing the standard power valves shut and going lean after fighting it i bought a csu carb it seems to work but have yet to get it on the street because of winter. for some they work others not look in to the turbofourms. and the crutch setup if you like it. it works but i did like the idea.
a 750 will work for you, but do yourself a favor and buy one made for your blowthru combo, not one of the "shelf" carbs they sell as a blowthru
there are good builders out there, I only have experience with CSU, but have had several blowthru's, and the right carb makes all the diff,
more so as boost goes up

I spoke with Kevin at csu, he will be building me a custom 750cfm carb for my combo. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
