Default LS6 or 6.0L

Heres the dilemma im in now. i have a LS6 block honed to 3.903 and im planning on using it for a turbo build, picked it up with the machine work already done and checked by a machine shop. now as i was searching for some 317 heads i stumbled across a 6.0L long block that threw a rod for a price thats comparable to just buying the block itself. seller claims the cylinder is fine but obviously i cant know untill i tear the motor down. and as im shooting for a forged set up i would be replacing the rods anyway. would you chance the motor for the price or just stick with the aluminum LS6 block?

Edit: its also from a 2002 2500HD with 136000 miles

Well you already have the machine work done on one block. What are your end goals? If you aren't going for some T6 800rwhp+ build your current block is probably enough.

Plenty of people using the smaller bore motors to make that. One of the Mod's here has a badass T/A with a D1 that throws down something close to 750 on an LS1 block. As long as you have forged pistons and rods you should be good to go. That money you'd spend on the 6.0 block would be better spent elsewhere imo.
