Which one would you buy?

Found a couple of 4.8's locally for my cam only turbo build. A 04 with 61k for $600 or a 07 (better rods) with 199k for $300. Which would you use?

The 07 should be 58x so keep that in mind....

The 07 will also have 799 or 243 heads on it. Some 04 truck engines had heads that leaked antifreeze into the oil valley under the rockers. they had the battery symbol around the rocker bosses if I remember correctly.

I had a 07 before. If Im not mistaken it was 24x and it had 706 heads.

i guess then it would depend on your power goals if it would make sense to get the better rods...

I wouldn't think twice about the 07. Many would argue that more miles is better since the ring gaps will have opened up.
