Currently running 50/50 91 and e85, so in the e43 range. Enough to run 23psi and 18 degrees of timing. More boost later...

E85, about 150hp more than with 98 octane fuel that we have here.

I am also running vp m1, but diluted 50/50 with water. Have you heard of any issues with people running 100% methanol with the coolingmist pump?

E85. I don't even know if knock exists anymore. It never registers in my logs

C16.....

e85 is worthless crap....
if you dont drive your car on a regular basis, it will gum up and clog **** up...it will kill your injectors eventually, and its extremely inconsistent from pump to pump

with c16 you can treat it exactly like pump gas....and in a pinch, you can still drive your car on pump gas with no issues..
I choose to drive the car to the track on pump gas, then I drain the tank into a gas can or two...and fill the tank with c16....
when I'm done, I'm usually close to being out of c16 anyways, so I just pour my pump gas back in the car and drive it home

Sure it is, thats why its so cheap, lol. If we could all afford $10 a gallon c16 we would all buy it, but for e85 and that fact its $2.70 a gallon I am in. I have yet to have problems here in the south with it gumming anything up. Yes it can be inconsistent, but that whys I have a tester and constantly test it. I won't run it if its below e80. To each his own, but I don't have problems with it and have been running it for a while.

we have customers with E85 issues......mostly because they dont drive it enough and when E85 sits, it does bad things..

and yes... if you are going to use it......TEST, TEST, TEST, and TEST AGAIN
make sure its good...

The amount of knock suppression an ethanol blended fuel has does not increase at a linear rate with the amount of ethanol it contains. For example there is very little to be gained going from a 70% blend to an 85% blend in the studies I've read. E50 actually showed about the same amount of knock suppression as E85. If I could get E50 at the pumps here I'd run it. You don't need near the fuel system and you have less issues with build up.

Our "E85" in wichita is pretty much E70 year round. I've run a TON of boost with this. I run 34lbs in my 9.5:1 4cyl. Ran 24lbs in my LS motor last year, and plan to run just as much this year.

I have had the tar build up on intake valves, intank manifolds, and injector tips. This seems random and region specific as I know of many people that do not get this. I've never had internally clogged injectors as the "goo" seems to build up on the tips and easily cleans off with gasoline. NEver had filters clog either. The "goo" seems to "crash" out of the alcohol once it hits oxygen/heat and is left there. I't like a sugar based tar. I run a tank of regular gas through the car before winter storage.

Varying percentages are annoying to me because they cause your AFR's and tune to be erratic. The AEM "autotune" usually takes car of this. The Megasquirt system also has a great auto tune feature that I use to help with this. I've tuned 6 cars on E85 so far. I love the stuff.

Build up on the pistoin domes on my 3.8 as well... Just wipes out with gasoline.

1 year of Injector build up...

How does the C16 treat your Oxygen sensors?

e85 on the West Coast is pretty consistent. 78% in winter low/mid 80's in summer. My buddy has a meter in his fuel system and the locals share which stations have the best concentration.

Under $4/gallon for 106 octane.... no brainer. Run in in all the high HP Nissan Skyline GTRs out here and plenty of turbo'd LSx setups.

I run 91/e85 blend in my n/a setup and gain 20rwhp/20rwtq in the midrange... and 10/10 up top. Feels much stronger with a few degrees more timing.

ForceFed86- I was super into those V6 GN motors as well.... after my 1st LS motor in 2004 I never looked back. The technology difference is like night/day. Also LS motors are a snap to put together. GN motors are a bit black magic and finger crossing. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about!
