Default Need some help with my cold side

Here are the outlets on my S300 turbos, 2.80" lip with a 2.65" area for my t-bolt clamp. What size Silicone coupler do I need for a 2.5" cold side, just 2.5" ID on both ends of the coupler?

2.75" for the turbo side and 2.5" for the other side.

OK thanks,

for the waste gates, do the flanges require gaskets to be used? Do turbo flanges require gaskets?

Yes to both of those, usually the gates will come with them. The gaskets can be had for real cheap.

Looks like a lot of people have success with copper RTV only (no gaskets) on the turbo flanges, and regular metal gaskets on the wastegates.

Can someone explain the proper way to bolt up the wastegate? I see that the inlet flange is drilled through on the bolt holes but the dump pipe flange is threaded. Should the inlet flange I weld on from the charge pipe be threaded and the dump pipe flange I weld on not be threaded?

If the flanges are completely flat, then no gaskets are required. If the flanges are not flat, make them flat.

A little copper based silicone on the faces can do no harm either.

Normal turbo type gaskets, ie a metal shim with raised bump can be used too if you want. But really not necessary

Some manufacturers use a gasket.

I've used marine grease a few times with great results- which was common for manufacturers in the 80's (can't speak to today).

The grease prevents the two halves from sticking and I haven't had any issues (my flanges have all been flat and checked before assembly though)

Wastegates I've never had gaskets on, but typically I've used V-band as much as possible there.
