Default 5.3 APS Twin project

So I just picked up a 2007 LC9 aluminum 5.3 with 100k miles for $500. It has 243 heads and DOD. My plan is to replace the stock short block LS1 with the 5.3 and turn up the boost and timing on e85. I have been taking it easy on the 5.7 so I would not bend a rod or break a piston.
I have headstuds and plan on changing reluctor wheel, new rings and bearings. The heads will get a little touch up on the runners. Strip off the dod. Not sure what cam to use. I have a brand new ls9 or the 224/224 610/601 114lsa cam that is in the LS1. Victor Jr. With a 6061 elbow.

I am running the APS turbos for now and probably replace with new Mits chra when they go. The car is a 2000 Camaro m6 with 4.10 gears and 28" drag radials. I have a new set of 3.54 gears to go in if I ever get around to it.

Any suggestions on camshaft? I haven't read about too many lc9's being boosted. Is this a bad combo? I was thinking about 12-15psi and 18 degrees of timing on e85. Am I in the ballpark? Any guesses on hp?

So far I have only done 7.5psi and 16 degrees on the LS1. But it is time to swap in a motor I don't care about and turn it up. Any insight is appreciated.

Hey Nick . I don't see any reason not to run that 224 deal you have already since its free. I know the lobes were a touch on the agressive side, but not bad and with enough spring pressure you should be fine as the old engine seemed to be. Since the new engine is gen 4 I'd let it eat and keep tabs on fueling, timing, etc. No reason it won't make way over 700whp with 20g turbos on the smaller cubes and over 800whp as long as the inlets are not restricted and you either run cutouts, drop the exhaust or make a true dual or 3.5"+ exhaust. I might have some sources for the 20g CHRA also unless you got a place.

Give martin at tick performance a call to custom spec your cam. He did a great job on my first single turbo build and he is going to be doing it on my new twin build as well
