Default 3.23 ratio to 3.54 ratio

I am shopping for a new rear end and would like to get the s60 but can only go as low as 3.54 gears. Currently have 3.23's.

Current setup. 6.2L with 67mm rear mount turbo, 4l60 auto with 3800 rpm stall.

How much of a difference would 3.23's to 3.54's make on building boost? Any major down falls?

Thanks for everyone's time.

I guess that depends on how fast you build boost now. You'll go through the RPM's faster, and if you already build boost slow now, it could be worse because you'll shift faster with the shorter gears. If boost comes in quick already, than it would just come on a bit faster, though you'll have less mph top speed. If it sees the track much, you might need to step up to a taller tire to help get back to what your used to. That would help on the street to of course.

The car builds boost almost instantly but I did not want to give that up. I was hoping someone made the change and could chime in.
